Alexa Ostrager

My name is Alexa Ostrager and I am an aspiring Architectural Designer currently studying at Northeastern University for my M. Arch which is anticipated April 2026. My ongoing thesis work is the significance of Public art in Urban repair through Mass Transit along the Southwest Corridor. I grew up on Long Island, NY and graduated from University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture in 2024. I am drawn to the ability to impact the built environment through sustainable technology and how artificial intelligence can shape the future of this profession.

    Adaptive Reuse Steam Plant

    The steam plant on Northeastern's campus, originally the United Drug Company Laundromat, was used to heat the surrounding academic buildings. It connects the buildings through the heat it provides. How can we celebrate this connection?

    Light it Up

    Team project at Carnegie Mellon University Materials and Assembly class Fall 2023. In this project teams were tasked with using their knowledge about brick and mortar joints to design a brick lantern with help from members of the Mason Contractors Association of Western Pennsylvania and the International Masonry Institute
